About the League
Our club's 3x3 house league is designed for youth basketball players in grades 3-10 looking to elevate their game. This league is open to players of all skill levels, from beginners to advanced.
League Structure
Skill Development: The 3x3 format offers more touches on the ball, shots, and decision-making opportunities compared to the traditional 5v5 format.
Key Benefits
Technical Skills: More touches = more opportunity to develop dribbling, passing, and shooting skills.
Game Awareness: Encourages quicker reads and decision-making, enhancing game intelligence.
Confidence Building: More chances to handle the ball and take shots improve overall athlete performance.
League Timeframe
Start: First week of October
End: First week of December
Note: Athletes in grades 8 to 10 may experience some overlap with SD23 school basketball schedules, but flexibility is allowed.
League Experience
Quality Coaching: The league is overseen by screened, dedicated volunteer coaches with extensive experience who provide valuable instruction and feedback.
Practice and Games: Each team will have one practice and two games per week for eight weeks, culminating in a playoff championship round in the 9th week.
Important Notes
Practice and Game Schedules: Dependent on SD23 gym availability; finalized once the school district releases its gym schedule at the end of September.
Location: All activities will be held on the west side, primarily at Glenrosa Middle School and other local facilities.
Additional Opportunities
5v5 'Selects' Teams: Players can also try out for 5v5 travel teams, known as 'Selects,' for an additional fee.
Scheduling Flexibility: The schedule will accommodate participation in both the 3x3 league and 5v5 teams.
